Tóquio, no Japão, será palco do primeiro parque temático da popular saga “Pokémon”. O PokePark Kanto ficará dentro do Yomiuri Land e será inaugurado em 2026.
O parque terá 26 mil metros quadrados e incluirá duas áreas: uma Floresta Pokémon, descrita com uma grande região selvagem, e uma dedicada a lojas e atrações.
Junichi Masuda, diretor criativo da Pokémon Company, explicou, num vídeo de apresentação, que o objetivo da empresa “é criar um lugar onde os Pokémon estejam sempre presentes e onde todos possam divertir-se com eles”.
“Os Pokémon vivem na floresta. Queremos desmitificar a ideia que as pessoas têm sobre como os Pokémon vivem e interagem uns com os outros, permitindo-lhes experimentar um novo mundo.”
O universo Pokémon surgiu em 1996, no Japão, como um jogo para a consola. Mais tarde, expandiu-se para filmes, uma série de animação e um jogo de realidade aumentada para smartphones, o Pokémon Go.
