Pouco mais de metade da área total do Parque Nacional da Pena, em Sintra, reabre esta terça-feira, dia 8, aos visitantes, depois do encerramento em 19 de março, devido aos estragos provocados pela passagem da depressão Martinho.
Em comunicado, lê-se que será possível visitar cerca de 55% da área do parque. Voltam a estar disponíveis os percursos que ligam o Palácio Nacional da Pena à Cruz Alta e ao Vale dos Lagos, via Fonte dos Passarinhos, abrangendo também o acesso ao Jardim das Camélias, e foi reaberto um caminho entre o Vale dos Lagos e o Chalet da Condessa d’Edla.
Devido a intervenções em curso, ainda não será possível visitar as áreas da Abegoria, Jardim Inglês, Estufa Fria, Pérgola da Feteira da Condessa d’Edla e Alto do Chá. O acesso aos espaços interditos estará vedado por cancelas.
Segundo a Parques de Sintra, a passagem da depressão Martinho derrubou 312 árvores de diversas espécies neste parque, que está encerrado desde 19 de março.
