O restaurante Belcanto, do chef José Avillez, está na lista dos 50 melhores restaurantes do mundo –theworlds50best – e é o único restaurante português nesta lista de 2025.
O anúncio foi feito na passada quinta-feira, dia 19 de junho em Turim, durante a cerimónia de atribuição dos prémios “The World’s 50 Best Restaurants”. O Belcanto ficou em 42.º lugar.
“É com orgulho que representamos Portugal nesta prestigiada lista há vários anos. Ficamos muito contentes, porque se trata de um reconhecimento importante para o Belcanto, mas também para Lisboa e para o nosso país”, sublinha José Avillez.
O Belcanto abriu em 2012 e, nesse mesmo ano, foi distinguido com uma estrela Michelin. Em 2014, recebeu a segunda estrela Michelin. Em 2019, e como parte da sua evolução, o Belcanto mudou-se para um novo espaço, mais amplo, contíguo ao inicial, mantendo a proximidade com o Largo de São Carlos.
