O Guia Repsol, uma cerimónia que pretende celebrar a gastronomia ibérica, distinguiu na passada segunda-feira, dia 7, 184 restaurantes portugueses, sendo que quatro receberam a máxima distinção de três Sóis, numa cerimónia que marcou o regresso do guia a Portugal após nove anos de ausência.
A cerimónia de entrega dos prémios decorreu no Convento de São Francisco, em Santarém, com a presença de entidades governamentais, representantes da Repsol e figuras do setor gastronómico.
Segundo a organização, “do Porto ao Algarve”, “passando por Lisboa e pela Madeira”, 194 restaurantes portugueses foram reconhecidos, desde as “grandes casas tradicionais” até “às casas de comida mais simples”.
Entre os premiados, destacaram-se quatro restaurantes que receberam 3 Sóis, a mais alta distinção do Guia Repsol: Belcanto (Lisboa), de José Avillez; Il Gallo D’Oro (Funchal), de Benoît Sinthon; Ocean (Porches) do chef Hans Neuner; e The Yeatman (Vila Nova de Gaia), de Ricardo Costa.
Na lista estão também 124 restaurantes recomendados e quatro restaurantes receberam o prémio “Sol Sustentável” pelo seu compromisso com o meio ambiente, nomeadamente no combate ao desperdício alimentar e na aposta em produtos locais.
A guia Repsol é uma cerimónia composta por um sistema de classificação feito por especialistas locais, com foco “na cultura, tradição e no potencial gastronómico e turístico do país“.
A cerimónia realizou-se em Portugal entre 1989 e 2016, altura em que a organização, decidiu fazer uma pausa “para uma reflexão profunda com vista a adaptar-se às exigências turísticas e gastronómicas dos novos viajantes e comensais”.
