A Assembleia da República irá assinalar a revolução de 5 de Outubro de 1910, que implantou a República em Portugal, com visitas livres, atuações musicais e o lançamento de um livro. Pelas 14h30 de quinta-feira, dia 5 de outubro, o presidente da Assembleia da República, Augusto Santos Silva, irá abrir as portas do parlamento para visitas livres, que decorrerão até às 18h.
O programa divulgado conta com a atuação do coro infantil da Universidade de Lisboa, e ainda o lançamento do livro “A melhor amiga da menina República”, da autora Isabel Zambujal e do ilustrador Bernardo Carvalho. Pelas 17h, a banda da Armada irá atuar no jardim interior do Palácio de São Bento.
Os visitantes terão ainda a oportunidade de ver a exposição evocativa do centenário do nascimento da poetisa Natália Correia, que se encontra junto à Biblioteca Passos Manuel, e, ainda, a exposição fotográfica da Coleção Joshua Benoliel, no claustro.
